SciAps Z-300
The Z-300 accomplishes what no other portable analyzer has done. It’s a handheld analyzer that measures every element in the Periodic Table.
The Z-300 is revolutionary. It’s the most portable, high performance LIBS analyzer ever created. Its advanced technology includes a stacked, high resolution spectrometer that spans from 190 nm – 950 nm, thus covering the emission lines for every element from H to U. The spectrometer can be operated in either gated or ungated mode. It uniquely features an on-board argon purge to deliver higher-precision, quantitative results; laser burst surface cleaning and rastering to eliminate grinding or surface prep and improved accuracy. The Z’s Android-based operating system is as friendly and intuitive as a Smartphone, and it supports numerous analytical Apps for a variety of sample types.
Spectrometer range: 190 nm – 950 nm.
Additional range compared to Z-200 model provides additional elements
H, N, O, F, Cl, Br, Rb, Cs, K, S.
The Z is the ONLY handheld LIBS with an integrated, user-replaceable argon purge. Operating in an argon environment yields 10x or more boost in signal, particularly for emissions in the deep UV (190 nm 0 300 nm), where many elements are measured. Shown in the figure are two spectra from a stainless steel, with and without argon, demonstrating the large signal boost. Also available are larger belt-mounted canisters (4x the volume). Users may also connect the Z to industry standard stationary argon tanks with our optional package of bridge regulator and tubing.

SciAps Z-200 Premier Handheld LIB
The Z-200 is the most portable, high performance LIBS analyzer ever created. It’s advanced technology includes on-board argon purge to deliver quantitative results; laser burst surface cleaning to eliminate grinding or surface prep; laser rastering for improved precision. It’s Android-based operating system is as friendly and intuitive as a Smartphone, and it supports numerous analytical Apps for a variety of sample types.

The Z is the ONLY handheld LIBS with an integrated, user-replaceable argon purge. As any OES user will attest to, operating in an argon purge environment delivers 10x or more intensities, thus yielding far superior precision and limits of detection compared to air-based LIBS. In fact a major reason why the Z-200 can precisely analyze fine distinctions in aluminum alloys, and stainless, iron base and nickel superalloys, is due to the precision advantage from argon purge. Also available are larger belt-mounted canisters (4x the volume). Users may also connect the Z to industry standard stationary argon tanks with our optional package of bridge regulator and tubing.
Dirty scrap? Oxidized or dusty metal components? The Z features novel cleaning mode to eliminate the need for grinding or surface prep – a critical requirement and something no other handheld laser unit offers. Cleaning mode fires the laser at 50 Hz (50 shots/second). After 0.2 sec 10 laser blasts have obliterated surface contamination, then the Z takes data from the cleaned surface. The Z delivers the same answer whether the surface is clean or dirty!

SciAps X-200
Identical to X-200 for elements titanium and higher elements. No 2nd beam calibrations, so Mg, Al, Si, P and S are NOT analyzed.
Perfect for locations requiring the speed and precision of an SDD detector, but with no need for 2 beam, light element analysis.
An alternative to PINs if you want 9x the speed or 3X the precision.

SciAps X-50
Our most economical model. Great basic analysis of transition and heavy metals.
40 kV, Rh anode (alloy) or Au anode (Geochem, Soil, others)
7 mm2 PIN Diode, Standard DPP, 15k cps, 50% live
Basic sorting of SS, high temps and red metals. Only sort Al alloys by MLC’s and 2000’s and 7000’s.
Same element suite as the X-100, but with older PiN diode detector technology. Test times will be much longer to achieve same precision as X-100, but X-50 platform lower priced.

SciAps CHEM 500
It’s the product defined by military, law enforcement and first responder users of older-generation Raman analyzers.  We asked “what do you want in your next generation Raman analyzer?”  Then we designed the Chem-500 to our customer’s specifications and expectations – Better analytical performance, on board HazmasterG3 “so what does that mean” decision support software, more flexible accessories and sampling – all at nearly half the price of their existing Raman analyzers.
Meets IP67 & Mil Spec 810g standards
Large, Vibrant 5.5″ color touch screen display
Powered by Surefire 123A or Li-ion batteries.
WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS on-board (can be hardware disabled)
IR Status indicator for night and clandestine operations

Better Analysis
The 1030 nm laser analyzes fluorescing materials like explosives and street drugs better.  For example consider real-world Semtex that contains pigments and binders.  Figure 1a shows the Raman spectrum from a Semtex sample using a 785 nm laser, and Fig. 1b shows the same material analyzed with the 1030 nm laser source.  The  1030 nm spectrum is virtually clear of fluorescence.  The suppressed fluorescence means minimal pre-processing and superior SNR, thus faster testing times with less laser energy dumped into sample.  The result is a statistically better material ID with reduced risk of sample ignition and improved operator safety.

SciAps Inspector 500
The “500” class of Raman analyzers is equipped with higher wavelength Raman excitation (1030 nm laser) for the specialized case of testing samples that exhibit high fluorescence.   For example, samples consisting of complex molecules or samples with a number of impurities are excellent candidates for the Inspector 500 (1030 nm laser). While such samples may challenge the Inspector 300, the 500 allows for the specific Raman peaks to stand out in the spectrum. As with the rest of the SciAps Agent series of Raman analyzers, the Inspector 500 offers high stability, the same intuitive software and interface, fast processing speed, and seamless report generation and data management.
The Inspector class Raman analyzers maintain the best ergonomics of any handheld Raman.  Carefully designed for all end-users  – large and small, male or female — the Inspector is tapered, well-balanced, and equipped with a well-placed wrist strap.  The result:  a handheld Raman analyzer that’s incredibly easy to manipulate and operate single-handedly, for all types of users, with or without gloves.

Higher Excitation: Higher wavelength Raman excitation (1030 nm laser) for the specialized case of testing samples that exhibit high fluorescence.   For example, samples consisting of complex molecules or samples with a number of impurities. • Powerful:  The 300 mW laser means it’s one of the most powerful handheld Raman’s ever built. • Lightweight: At 3.7 lbs, it’s easy to carry while testing samples for an entire day. • Temperature-controlled CCD detector: The analyzer remains stable throughout hours of testing in the field, in the warehouse, on the factory floor or at the lab. • Thumbwheel control: incredibly easy to manipulate and operate single-handedly, for all types of users, with or without gloves. • Powerful processing: Fast, accurate matching to stored compound spectra and sophisticated statistical models provide results within seconds. • Report generation: Create reports on the spot or download data instantly with WiFi and/or USB connectivity. • Good mechanics: The Inspector 500 is equipped with a vial holder, a novel 90-degree sample tester ideal for bagged samples, and a point-and-shoot adapter, allowing for easy testing of virtually any sample type.  The point-and-shoot adapter is user adjustable to sample depth, allowing easy adaptation to thick or double-bagged samples, or sample bottles.
